Signely documents the source, rights, changes, and review status of every image and video shipped with the app.
First-party interface, branding and media
Signely's interface, visual branding, mascot, onboarding presentation, interface artwork, and identified reward artwork were created, generated, edited, or integrated for Signely. Signely retains the final-file hashes and applicable production records.
Sign demonstrations shipped by the app are Signely-owned recordings listed in the first-party sign manifest. Missing media is shown as unavailable rather than substituted from an undocumented source.
These assets are not released merely because a file exists. Each instructional sign also requires a separate qualified ASL review covering handshape, movement, palm orientation, placement, and regional usage.
A-Z fingerspelling handshapes
The alphabet handshape SVGs are public-domain illustrations from wpclipart.com, distributed through Wikimedia Commons. Signely changed only the background color; the original hand illustration geometry is unchanged.
Source and license metadata for every letter are retained in the packaged media manifest. Public-domain status does not replace qualified ASL review.
Review policy
Licensing and linguistic approval are separate. Signely requires documented commercial rights and qualified ASL review before an instructional clip is approved for release. If reviewed media is unavailable, the app identifies that state instead of substituting a different lexical sign.
